Letter Day Preview- Kk

What a scorching hot day! Won't stop us from our letter learning though! We spent the morning at a pioneer park- they had family activities such as crafts, petting zoo, free Popsicles, and more! What does this have to do with the letter K??? My daughter had a wonderful time petting the kids (AKA baby goats- although she will try and pet people too!)
YES- she is trying to pick up the baby goat!
She also had a blast jumping with the big kids (people this time) in the bounce house for the first time. She was shrieking with delight the entire time- despite the MANY times she slammed herself into the netted walls.

We ate KFC's kid meals for lunch at an elementary school park. Not just any school- the one that I, Keri, went to as a young squirt. It brought back SO many memories of my days as a kid- I even peeked into my old kindergarten classroom! Surprisingly, not much has changed!
We came home, napped, played, and then prepared the most delicious dinner ever! Don't believe me? Look at these pics!
We had K---'s brand of Asian chicken and rice, fruit kabobs (and chocolate dipping sauce), Kiwi Strawberry Soda... and King Size Kit Kats for dessert! Scrumptious! We are going to have to do some karate kicks to keep off the extra pounds!
K day was crazy- but I am so proud that we resisted the temptation to visit Krispy Kreme's again! :)
Happy Teaching!

  3. It's pretty neat that you still live near your elementary school. I wish I could visit mine and see how it changed. It's mind blowing to think that I went to school when the Soviet Union was very much in place. I feel so old!
