Letter Day Preview- Hh

Random thought- I was wondering if ANY of YOU were wondering why I label these posts as Letter Day "Previews" when it is a summary of our day's events. The reason is that I think of these "letter days" as a chance for my daughter to become acquainted with the alphabet. They are a preview of things to come... like more "letter days" in the future or even the wildly popular "one letter a week".
We had a fabulous H day! We ate hashbrowns for breakfast, played with the Little People House (which I found at a steal for $8).
We colored a picture for our good friend Heather, had some helping hands moments cleaning up around the house, hung on the monkey bars, watched Michael Jackson's funeral on hulu.com, sat in a hammock at the store,

and the best part....

we had a little Hawaiian Luau! I had a bunch of leis, grass skirts, and other Hawaiin stuff from my days as a teacher that I brought down from the attic and put to good use! We ate Hawaiin Haystacks for dinner, danced the hula (sorda- more like running around in circles), and splashed in our little wading pool. This was so much fun- my daughter loved dressing up and the fact that we moved the table in the kitchen so we could have more room to dance! I am becoming more and more a fan of the letter activities that we can do as a family- I think having my husband participate is such a good example for my little Boo!!
Tomorrow is I day... stay tuned for lots of ice cream!
Happy Teaching!

  1. Oh wow that looks like soo much fun, I have to try dancing the hula with my daughter she LOVES dancing! I love reading your letter previews, I read every one, there are so many great ideas I think I'll definitely have to do a letter a week so that I can do the activities I missed out this time around!
