I finished making Jacs her first mommy-made baby book. She loves Bill Martin/ Eric Carle books- the “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?”, “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?”, and “Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?”. That inspired me to make a picture album of our extended family using a similar repeating pattern. I love Eric Carle’s tissue paper art, so I made several different pages using tissue paper and then scanned them into our computer so I could reuse the same pattern. After inserting family photos and text using the Gimp (my favorite photo editing software), I was ready to print, laminate, and bind! The whole process took about a week and a half from conception to finalization- and we have already read it to little Jacs many times. This will be a fabulous book to take with us to church, too! I am excited to start our next baby-Boo book! Here are some pictures of the finished product/ sample pages:

I'm so excited for these ideas. I have four kids 6 years and under. Lets just our church pew isn't always the most reverent! I know something personal like this for them to look at will help.
